THOUGHT - THE ORIGIN
Scripture Reading - Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, …KJV
Quite often we (ihlcc) have heard the question of “How do I hear from God?” The simple answer is God is a Spirit and those who hear from God hear from Him with their heart. To properly dissect the ideal of hearing from God we must touch on the subject of “thoughts”. The origin of a man hearing from God started in the Garden of Eden according to Genesis 2:15-17. Since we know that God had a divine plan for man in the earth before He created the man (and woman) upon the earth we can conclude that God’s Will was in the realm of spiritual “thought” before it was naturally manifested in this earth. Since “thought” always proceeds action we must be knowledgeable about the history of “thoughts”. The reason we must explore “thoughts” first is because everything starts in the spiritual realm. Remember, it was first that which was spiritual then that which is natural according to Hebrews 11:3. In the beginning was a spiritual God who then created a natural world and placed a physical man and woman upon it. The spiritual Word of God was first according to John 1:1-3 and then was everything made that could be naturally made. The Word of God is the seed of life that needs the stem of “thought” to travel unto all realms to produce fruit. We have heard the phrase to travel at “the speed of thought” and this is truth because “thoughts” are alive and very capable of travel when nourished and projected from the heart. This is an important key because every Christian should understand that in the spiritual realm God created man in His own “image” and “likeness” which means your “imagination” will produce a “likeness” to God when used properly. Yes, not only did God create man in His own imagine and likeness but He also created Angels in the same fashion. This is why the Angels of God are referred to as Sons of God in Genesis 6:2 & 4 and Job 1:6. The spiritual part of all living things is in the seed of life (the word) through which all physical beings in the earth exist. Since the source of life is the word of God we must realize the transfer of God’s Word is “thought”. Not only does “thought” give distance to God’s Word but it also gives it additional space (size, gravity, reality, and weight) when meditated and acted upon. We (ihlcc) know some will say that voice is the vehicle of “thought” and we would say, Yes, and Amen! However, do understand that voice is only volume of “thought”. If the volume is very low (undetectable by the natural ear) it is still considered “thought”. Whereas when the volume is turned up (noticeable by the human ear) it is considered voice. Therefore, voice does not replace “thought” it only (and always) enhances it. Amen!
